Storage Engineer

Puebla, Mexico

We're looking for a talented and experienced Storage Engineer to join our Managed Solution Center team. The Storage Engineer will be responsible for hardware/software installations, implementation of specialized software, system integrations/transitions, troubleshooting customer environments, and reviewing/recommending storage designs and implementations on the storage platform within multi-tenant environments, also the Storage Engineer is responsible for managing escalated backup and recovery incidents and service requests through completion.


  •  We are looking for a person to manage and perform the following tasks:
  • Analyze, design, test, document, and implement solutions for continuous data availability, integrity, backup, and protection

  • Install, configure, and maintain storage solutions for SAN, NAS, Data De-Duplication, and Enterprise Back-up.

  • Install, configure, and maintain storage infrastructure, including software, management, system backups, etc.

  • Provide problem analysis, determination, and resolution using industry-standard utilities/tools and creative thinking.

  • Develop operational processes and documentation for day-to-day Storage tasks.

  • Develop processes and documentation regarding setup and failover for Storage customers.

  • Customer resolution and escalation assistance calls.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Remote manage customer systems and develop runbooks specific to customer environments.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • ITSM Foundation training is required.

  • IBM Storwize, Cisco & Linux, and/or related industry certifications are a plus.
  • Security Compliance experience: SOC, PCI, ISO 27001, or SOX preferred.


  • 2+ years were implementing and administering data de-depublication platforms or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of Storage Systems Engineering support experience in a multi-tenant environment (Managed Services preferred).
  • 5+ years were implementing and administering storage devices and/or SAN network switches. 
  • Fibre Channel and/or IP Storage Devices
  • IBM Storwize/FlashSystem and/or SAN Volume Controller (required)
  • EMC Data Domain (required)
  • NetApp FAS (desired)
  • NetApp E-series (desired)
  • Deployment and administration of Linux Virtual Machines (highly desired)
  • Experience with Cisco SAN networking (required) and Brocade SAN networking (highly desired)
